Die HardThe Die Hard App (“App”) is operated by Die Hard Technologies Inc. (“we”, “us”), formerly Die Hard Technology, LLC. Some app store listings may still show the former name until they are updated.
Information We Collect
- Account Data: Name, email address, profile photo, favorite teams.
- Activity Data: Logged events, posts, earned points, participation in raffles.
- Device & Location Data: For fraud prevention, eligibility verification, and enhanced user experience. Location data is collected only with your device permissions and may be disabled in your device settings.
- Device & Advertising Identifiers: Your device’s advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID, or on iOS the IDFA, only if you allow tracking), IP address, and device and app information, used to show and measure ads as described under Advertising below.
How We Use Your Information
We may use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the App.
- Verify activities and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized use.
- Personalize your user experience.
- Communicate about updates, promotions, or App changes (you may opt out of non-essential communications).
Sharing of Information
We may share your information:
- With trusted third-party service providers for operational purposes.
- With advertising partners, including Google AdMob, as described under Advertising below.
- To comply with legal obligations, government requests, or court orders.
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
Advertising
The App is free and supported by ads. Some ads are our own; others are served by third-party ad networks, including Google AdMob. Members with a premium subscription see no ads.
Third-party ad networks and their partners may collect and use your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location derived from it, and information about your device and how you interact with ads. They may use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to place and read this information in order to serve ads, including ads personalized to your interests, limit how often you see an ad, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. Your choices:
- iOS: We ask before your advertising identifier is used for tracking. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device’s Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: We ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can review or change your choice in the App under Settings > Privacy Choices.
- Users under 18: We do not show personalized ads to users we know to be under 18, whatever their device settings.
- Google ad personalization: Manage it at myadcenter.google.com.
If you opt out of personalized ads you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Under the privacy laws of California and other U.S. states, making your advertising identifier and related device information available to ad networks for personalized advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or “targeted advertising”. We do not sell your name, email address, or other account information.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access, correct, or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing and of targeted advertising. To opt out, use Settings > Privacy Choices in the App where it is shown, turn off ad personalization in your device settings as described above, or email support@diehardapp.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share”. To exercise your other rights, email us at the same address. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Users between 13–17 may use the App with parental consent but are not eligible to participate in raffles or prize-based activities.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information as long as your account is active or as required to provide you services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
Your Rights & Choices
- You may edit or delete your account information within the App.
- You may opt out of non-essential marketing communications.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising as described under Advertising above.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@diehardapp.com.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
